The school plays an important role in our lives and our community. It’s the key of training children and youth and providing them with skills and knowledge to become persons active and involved into the society. You can write to us about how this takes place in your school or the school where your child is enrolled. The email address is educatie@crj.ro. If there is a situation of concern to you, that you consider it discriminatory, share it with us.

Discrimination means any difference, exclusion, restriction or preference (a different treatment) that puts into disadvantage a person or a group of persons compared to other persons in a similar situation, based on their appurtenance to race, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, fortune or social origin, beliefs, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, non-contagious chronic illness, HIV infection.

Placing a person in an disadvantageous situation mustn’t be necessarily intentional if the effect is discriminatory; it is still discrimination.

If you believe you have been discriminated against, a complaint can be submitted to the National Council for Combating Discrimination or even to courts of law. The law on discrimination in Romania is Ordinance no. 137/2000 on preventing and sanctioning all forms of discrimination.

Learn more about it at http://www.crj.ro/wp-content/uploads/docs/Manual_formare_si_material_national_fin.pdf (Romanian language only).
